Rather than admit defeat
Into your mind you can retreat.
There is freedom in thoughts
And companionship of sorts.
When seeking liberty,
Sifting ideas can set you free.
And problems can be solved
Because solutions have evolved.
Suddenly there shines a light
That can make horizons bright.
Perhaps a poem points a sign
That tells you everything is fine.
For you can at least compose,
Though not the beauty of a rose.
With the divine you can’t compete
Though thought and wonder meet.
Yet God gives free our brains
For they can sever life’s chains.
No one can tell you what to think
When creative notions link.
And often in solitude
One feels a sense of gratitude
To ponder on issues that arise
And this independence prize!
