NO WHERE TO GO

She remembered
She had no where to go
When the road seemed long
And her footsteps slow
As the moon filled the sky
And the stars hung low.

Clasped by the night
cool and dark,
She came across a children’s park
And sat on a swing
And swung high and low
The night she had no where to go.

Obsessed by the things
she had done wrong
It seemed she never did belong
A scent of adventure
tinted the air
A voice inside told her
Not to care.

She recalled
Like a blow that
You have to keep walking
When there’s no where to go
And the moon fills the sky
And the stars hang low.
