GEORGINA’S GARDEN.

There is rain in the garden
A gurgling sound.
The grass is so green.
It is damp on the ground.
The flowers are drinking
And bowing their heads.
There is pink, there is peach
There are orange and reds.
Pansies are painted
in velvet attire.
Rich is the soil
That the roots so desire.
The rain it is falling –
In soft silver plops.
Perhaps in the winter
There will be snowdrops?
Soon comes the Autumn.
We must say goodbye
To flowers that for a
While, may seem to die.
There is a friend, Georgina
Who knows-
A great deal about gardens
And when everything grows.
Leaves will turn golden
And the rain may increase
But here in the garden
We are embraced in peace.
